Takanori Fukushima followed the example of his father as he united eastern and western culture.

His father was a unique Shinto priest, as he spoke English, and was able to resurrect the Meiji shrine in central Tokyo becoming its guardian priest, living in a villa on the grounds. Takanori Fukushima grew up there, and as a young neurosurgeon would access the premises by himself in the early mornings and meditate over surgeries, complications and what could be improved.
