Lorenzo de' medici duke of urbino cause of death

He died young, at 26 years old, and this disappearance at the age at which he would have had glory and wealth is translated here by Michelangelo through the theme of time that consumes everything.

Michelangelo represented the Duke in an attitude of reflection and meditation.

In contrast, on the opposite wall of the sacristy, Duke Giuliano de Medici symbolizes action through his willful and imperious attitude.
